hi.
do you *really* need to play your mexican music that loud from your car while you work on it? i mean, i can understand listening to music while you work, but really? that loud? the whole complex can hear your music. i can hear every word plain as day. i tried sleeping on the couch, since it was across the apartment. but it was still loud. quieter, yes, but still loud enough to keep me up. some people do like to sleep past 9:30 in the morning. so, kindly turn down your music for those of us that wish to do so. gracias.

so i'm trying to find my shoes online. they are my favorite, and are the most comfortable shoes ever in the history of the world. the only site i found them on says they are currently unavailable and so the shoes are most likely discontinued.. but i would still like to find them somewhere and get another pair. they are vans hudson II black/purple shoes. if anyone knows of a place to get discontinued shoes.... please help :P

i had a good birthday. one of the best birthdays ever too. it really made me feel loved and all warm and fuzzy inside and all. lounged around the house all day until we went to ihop with family. could've been better, i think we should've gone to iggy's now that i think about it. i really could use a drink. but alas..

when i got home we did cake and presents. i got a mug in the design that i really liked.. turned out the parents got me a whole new set of dishes. that mug was just a "taste" they said. i was really happy. then i found another present, inside the purple bag with purple tissue paper. omgz wat?

it was a 16 gb ipod touch! :o :o :o yes. and on the back, it was engraved with "i'll ride the wave... where it takes me." which is from a pearl jam song. i really like that lyric, it really means a lot to me. the thing is so cool..i need to get a case for it though.

then i got a call from work. "omg there's no one for graphics and pete really needs a fullscreen for sports! please come in!" so i'm like, "wtf fine." so i get there, and turn to go into the newsroom but the lights are off. then everyone jumps out and is like "happy birthday! just kidding we dont need any graphics." so i got balloons and cupcakes and presents. ronnie is such a sweetheart she got me a mind teaser set and a vanilla cream gourmet soda. alana was also really great cause she set the whole thing up. i love her to pieces. and she even called people in, like beau, ronnie and trina. whom i miss dearly cause she works the morning show now and i never see her. :( so i was really excited to see her too. i felt kinda bad cause i left afterwords and didn't stick around for the news.. i should've i think. everyone else that wasn't working left except ronnie and beau and the parents were kinda expecting me to come back. they were wondering how long i'd be. so i felt bad just leaving them but i also felt bad just leaving work.. ah well. i always feel guilty about these things.

it makes me want to do something special for everyone else who helped with it.. like PJ's birthday, or ronnie, or alana.. but i dont know when their birthdays are. i will have to figure that out. PJ is either next month or may 24th. i don't know why i can't keep it straight. ohhh maaannn. >.>

and then it snowed this evening. like, really snowed. and stuck. like 3 inches of snow. or more! i'm a bad judge of inches. anyways. they were huge flakes and it completely covered all the roads and when you drove on it it turned to slush. i couldn't even tell what lane i was in. i was just going by "oh that looks like the right side of the road." my parents even told me not to go to their house tonight (cause i was going to stay the night). so i'm at my apartment. they said they were going like 20 mph on the freeway with their flashers and couldn't even see anything. that's about what i was going on the side streets to work.. i have front wheel drive so i was better off then the parents who were just in a little mazda protege. i made a snowball at work and gave it to the weather guy, who promptly put it in the freezer. :P oh! and we were off the air for like hours and hours and finally a half hour before the news the general manager decided to call off the news. since apparently we were giving out signal, but the tower that we send it to doesn't work. cause the satellite is filled with snow, and no one can get up there right now since it's on top of a steep hill.

in other news..
how about them giants? sucks to be the patriots right now..

This year I've been busy!

In August I stole teh_martyr's purse (-30 points). Last week I turned roku750 in for running naked in the mall (3 points). Last Tuesday I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In October I didn't flush (-1 points). In February I committed genocide... Sorry about that, nemesisdesign (-5000 points).

i give up being the bigger person by being quiet when they are sleeping even though they aren't quiet when i'm sleeping most of the time.

last night was just bad times. this guy like literally lives here cause he was here ALL night. they were up til 4 a.m., then woke up at 8 a.m. so i got an awesome 4 hours of sleep. then they decided to make pancakes or something with an electric mixer and were all loud and crap. seeing as i could not sleep any longer, i just got up. played hideously loud music. was all good. they left around noon or so.

wish i could go and take a nap, but i have to study for this test at 2, then i have to go to a wedding reception from 4-6, then to work at 7.

sigh. i'm about done now. so. i'm not going to go out of my way to be quiet for them any longer............

i love it when this sorta thing happens.

so i'm stuck at work. i run the video on the weekends for the news and the sports show. but since the two sports guys are off tomorrow, we decided to tape out the sports show for tomorrow. but of course! i found out about this at 9:30 pm. (our news airs at 9.)

but they couldn't do it the easy way of taping it "as if live" they had to do the whole "let's do part of it as if live and just tape the intros/tags" which turned out to be a disaster kind of.

first of all, i had to cut two of his tags cause 1) i ended up being 53 seconds heavy in the show, and 2) when he messed up he didn't redo the whole tag and intro, he'd only do one of them which ended up being a jump cut when you put it all together in final cut. and since i have nothing to cover up the jump cut, the tags had to go. one of them i was able to salvage, because we had a 'still ahead' swoosher thing that i could put over it, since it was a tag into tease.

so it took us until like 10:40 pm to finish taping out, cause the sports guy was having an anchorman moment and couldn't talk. he was like, "omg, i'm having an anchorman moment. i'm ron burgundy? dammit! who put the question mark in the teleprompter.."

*stab stab*

so i had to capture everything and cut it up into pieces. the audio on the first segment was super low, so i had to export the thing like 4 times to get it up to -12. raise the audio, export. raise the audio more, export. raise the audio even more, export. >.>

and i have two macs here.. so i'd edit all the crap on one of them and send over the completed track to the other mac which had the timeline of the show on it. at first it was kinda fun and i was enjoying it. not everyday you get to edit an entire show together. master control guy wanted 2 minute long pieces of black for commercial breaks. so i did that. but then it's like "okay this would be fun if i didn't HAVE to finish it tonight."

so, right now, after exporting the quicktime movie i'm burning it to a dvd for the master control guy to import to our system tomorrow. and it's taking a freaking long ass time. >.> iDVD is still at stage 3: asset encoding. like it's been for the longest time ever. okay, so only for about 15 minutes. for a half hour show. probably have another 15 mins left. ; ;

but i'm also sooooo frigggggin hungry right now. i'm starving. and my mouth is dry. and i'm bored. and it's friggin 3 in the morning. >.> *sigh* i'm just so hungry.

**edit: hey look it went to stage 4: multiplexing and burning. there's hope for me yet.

roommates took it off and threw it away, only to put their own 'clean/dirty' sign on the dishwasher.

i really fail to see the logic in taking the time and effort to throw away a sign only to replace it with a sign that says the exact same thing.

i don't understand kids these days.

new roommates are freaks.

she brought a big dining room table with 3 chairs here. i dont know where she expects to put it.

she brought her entire family over this morning and woke me up. then this little girl kept opening my door and then closing it after peeking in. then another family member looked inside too. HELLO the door is *closed* that means it's not your room and there's someone in there. the mother last night decided to check out my bathroom too for no apparent reason. she turned the light on and just stared into it for a few mins. it was kinda weird.

so they've been cleaning for like many hours and i dont know if they are just clean freaks or what, but they are going as far as to clean all the walls and doors. doors? really? i'm a clean person and i've been the only one cleaning this apartment since i moved in. i didn't think the walls or doors were dirty.

then i hear someone say they found a razor for a guy. "oh looks like boys lived here last! gross!"

no.. i've lived here for a year, no boys. i've had roommates bring boys over, so maybe they brought one. (?) and before me, chelsea lived here for a couple years too so it's been awhile since boys have lived here, if they ever have. since the building is only like 3 years old.

the cleaner smell is making me sick. i want to get something to eat but i can't, cause they're having a fun time cleaning. there's like 6 people out there.

and the worst part is that they have no concept of personal space. or other people's stuff. i don't want to be spending extra money on food cause they eat all of mine.

i'll even have to lock my bedroom door since they like to walk in so much.
